The Melbourne Play Studio is a collective of highly experienced mental health professionals with a shared philosophy that creativity, play, and safe relationships are the foundations of psychological healing and individual growth–from our littlest clients through to our more grown-up ones.
We understand it can take a lot of courage to come and see us, and there can be a lot going on when you do. Our approach is grounded strongly in being person and family-centred and trauma-informed, meaning our focus is on creating a safe and non-judgemental experience of therapy that address the presenting concerns without a clinical feel.
We are experienced in supporting plan and self managed NDIS participants seeking therapeutic services under early childhood early intervention or ‘adult’ NDIS plans. We are committed to providing a fair and accessible service that achieves the best outcomes for clients and only charge the guideline rate, without out-of-pocket expenses.
We are dedicated to working in a collaborative and consultative manner which actively includes parents, carers, health & allied health professionals, educators, and any other significant person.
Private health rebates are available for Medibank Private, Bupa, AHM, and AHRG.
Our therapists do not currently accept Mental Health Care Plans (Medicare) provided by a GP.
The Melbourne Play Studio is proud to support clients who are accessing therapeutic services through NDIS, DFFH, and FV Financial Support Packages. If you would like to make a referral, please fill in this form
